Place your pre-order today for fresh ramps, aka wild leeks! Ramps (Allium tricoccum) typically emerge in Northern Michigan in late April and are available through the end of May. Ramps have a delicious onion/garlic flavor and can be eaten raw, sauteed or grilled whole. The entire plant from the bulb up to the leaves is edible. Ramps are excellent in pasta, eggs, or on top of pizza. Other popular ways to utilize ramps include making ramp butter (spread on grilled meats or toasted bread!) or ramp pesto (add pasta!).
Ramps can be ordered whole or just the leaves. Ramps are harvested sustainably from private land. A quart-size bag holds approximately 1/4 lb of ramps.
